Biography

Emmy® Award–winning animation artist Brad Rader has worked in the TV animation industry as a storyboard artist on various animated series including Rainbow BriteThe LittlesThe Real GhostbustersALF and ALF TailsBatman: The Animated SeriesBiker Mice from MarsGargoylesMen in Black: The Series, The Legend of TarzanAtlantis: Milo’s ReturnThe Spectacular Spider-ManStripperellaKing of the Hill, and Bob’s Burgers, among others.

His TV directing credits include Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys; Godzilla: The Series, Roswell Conspiracies, and HBO’s Spawn, for which he won an Emmy® in 1999.

Résumé

He has illustrated the graphic novel Fogtown for DC/Vertigo and The Batman AdventuresBatman: Gotham Adventures and Catwoman comic books for DC Comics. Other comic work has included The Mark (Dark Horse Comics), Fused (Image Comics), Tex: The Fine Art of Character Assassination (Atomic Basement), and Hat Trick (Art of Fiction Press). His latest work is occasional stories for the Bob’s Burgers comic.

Humble Beginnings

Brad Rader, from Anchorage, Alaska, always loved animation, studied comic books to improve his storytelling and illustration skills, and now does both.

His art has been shown internationally and collected in various tomes, and he has self-published a graphic novel, many copies of which are in his garage.

Teaching experience includes Otis-Parsons and Art Center College of Design, where he has taught Storyboarding For All Media.

Brad now lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
